Hitachi America Ltd. Research & Development (HAL-R&D) introduced the state of the art concept of Digital Manufacturing at the SAE World Congress in Detroit. Hitachi introduced 4 new technologies at the World Congress :

1. Casting Simulation Software - ADSTEFAN

2. X-ray Computed Tomography (X-ray CT) - A Non Destructive Testing Method

3. Hitachi Magnesium Alloy - HITMAG

4. Friction Stir Welding (FSW)
